Why is it called Woojabooty?

We wanted a name that was a symbol of life and health. One thought was to choose the name of the longest-living tree. But Pinus longaeva wasn’t quite right. The idea of a tree led to thinking about a coral reef, and Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven wonders of the natural world. Unfortunately, any domain name associated with that was either taken or didn’t make much sense. This lead us to try and find the aboriginal name of the Great Barrier Reef of which there is none. However, a section of the reef has the aboriginal name of Gumoo Woojabuddee. We thought Woojabuddee sounded cool, but who was going to remember how to spell it, or perhaps remember it at all? So we decided to adjust the name to give it a little sex appeal and make it easier to spell – thus Woojabooty.
